What is Counselling?

Counselling is a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly with a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, counselling offers support and guidance to help you feel more in control and understood.

Over time, counselling can lead to greater self-awareness, emotional healing, and personal growth. Many people find that it not only helps them manage difficulties, but also increases their overall sense of happiness, calm, and connection to themselves and others.

Counselling can be short-term, focusing on specific concerns, or longer-term for deeper exploration and lasting change. It’s for anyone—regardless of age, background, or experience—who wants to improve their mental and emotional wellbeing.

How do I work?

As a Integrative therapist I use  a flexible and personalised approach to therapy that combines techniques from different counselling models to best support each individual’s unique needs. Rather than following a single method, integrative counselling draws from a range of therapeutic styles—such as person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based approaches—to create a tailored plan that works for you.By focusing on you as a whole person—emotionally, mentally, and sometimes even physically—integrative counselling supports long-term healing and personal growth.

How Can It Help?

  • Gain deeper self-awareness and understanding
  • Manage anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-esteem
  • Work through past trauma or life transitions
  • Improve relationships and communication
  • Build coping strategies that suit your personality and circumstances
